NORTON, MA- Wheaton College men's tennis sophomores Harry Altman (Riverdale, NY/The Dwight School) and Brian Krantz (Milford, CT/Joseph A. Foran) were selected as New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Doubles Team of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, March 29.

Picking up doubles team honors for the first time in their careers, Altman and Krantz rolled to a 2-0 week from their third doubles slot in helping Wheaton to a pair of home wins against Springfield College and the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

The tandem bested its UMass-Boston opponents by an 8-2 count in Tuesday's 9-0 sweep before knocking off a Springfield duo by the same score during Saturday's 6-3 win. With the victories, Altman and Krantz raised their season mark to 3-1 as teammates.

The Lyons, who have recorded a 5-4 season mark, return to action on Friday for a non-league match with visiting Salve Regina University at 3:30 p.m.
