Reddy's All-New England showing leads women to 15th, men finish 25th

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA- Following a two-week hiatus, the Wheaton College men's and women's cross country teams returned to action Saturday afternoon to compete at the NCAA Division III New England Championship, as the meet took place at Mount Greylock Regional High School and was hosted by Williams College.
Senior Lauren Reddy's (Walnut Creek, CA/Carondelet) second consecutive All-New England performance helped steer the women into 15th place with 404 points among 49 scoring teams. The men took 25th out of 49 squads with 837 points. Middlebury College captured the women's title, while the hosts were victorious on the men's side.
Needing to finish in the top 35 to earn all-region honors, Reddy covered the 6,000-meter course in 23:43, good for a 24th-place mark. Reddy will await word to see if she qualifies for next weekend's national championship at Hanover College in Indiana. Classmate Lily Calderwood (Harvard, MA/Bromfield School) was Wheaton's second runner to cross the finish line, as she came in 49th with a time of 24:26.
Senior Amanda Rawson (Dudley, MA/Shepherd Hill Regional) finished 71st in her final career race, while sophomore Erin Jaske (Highlands Ranch, CO/Rock Canyon) and freshman Kimberly Nash (Tempe, AZ/McClintock) were within six placements of each other.
Senior Megan O'Sadnick (Evergreen, CO/Evergreen) and freshman Rachel Scavera (North Bend, OR/North Bend) also competed in the race.
For the men, sophomore Nick Kacher (Waltham, MA/Waltham) covered the 8,000-meter course in 28:16, as he was the 92nd runner to finish, while classmate Colin Fahey (Waltham, MA/Weston) and senior Scott Hafferkamp (Merrimack, NH/Merrimack) followed him.
Senior Dan Libon (Foxboro, MA/Foxboro), junior Miles Souza (Norton, MA/Saint Sebastian's School) and freshman Todd Woodworth (Weston, MA/Middlesex School) also took part in the competition.
