Hade and Helms chosen for NEILA East-West Senior All-Star gameJune 1, 2007 NORTON, MA- Wheaton College men's lacrosse standouts Chris Hade (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Dwight-Englewood School) and Trey Helms (Cockeysville, MD/Saint Paul's School) have both been chosen to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star game. The contest begins tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, where players from Divisions I, II and III will compete. This season marks the second straight in which two Lyons will take part in the NEILA contest. Twenty-one players will suit up for each the East and West teams, as 24 Division III athletes are among the 42 slated to take part. Hade and Helms, two of Wheaton's three captains, will compete for the East squad. Hade earned Pilgrim League All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year this spring, as the veteran defender picked up 48 ground balls in 14 contests, averaging nearly four during the Lyons' eight-game league slate. Helms finished second on the team in each goals (18) and points (28) while providing 10 assists in 14 games. He tied for first among Lyons with a trio of man-up markers and completed his career with 58 goals and 94 points. Wheaton finished 4-4 in conference play this year, narrowly missing out on the final Pilgrim League Tournament berth, and went 4-10 overall. This page is maintained by Scott Dietz.
