Wheaton pair invited to play in men's lacrosse senior all-star game

May 30, 2006

NORTON, MA- Wheaton College men's lacrosse standouts Taylor Jackson (Middlesex, VT/Union 32) and Ellis Reavey (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow) have each been selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star game on Friday at Tufts University's Bello Field. Players from Divisions I, II and III will take part in the contest, which begins in Medford at 8:00 p.m.

This season marks the first since 2002 that Wheaton will send a pair of players to the game. Jackson and Reavey are among 29 members of the West squad, and they're two of only five players from Pilgrim League institutions selected.

Jackson, who was also named to the NEILA All-New England and Pilgrim League All-Conference second teams, started all 17 games for the Lyons, recording career highs of 31 goals and 39 points. Reavey joined Jackson on the NEILA All-New England and Pilgrim All-Conference second teams after tallying career high of 34 goals, nine assists and 43 points. He completed his career with 110 points.

Wheaton went 9-7-1 and advanced to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament championship game for the first time. After going 6-2 in the Pilgrim League, the Lyons qualified for their first Pilgrim League Tournament since 1998.
