Reavey tabbed Pilgrim League Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

May 1, 2006

NORTON, MA- Wheaton College men's lacrosse standout Ellis Reavey (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow) was named Pilgrim League Player of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, April 30. Reavey is the first Lyon to earn the honor since Evan Carbotti '04 in 2004.

A tri-captain, Reavey recorded six goals and seven points, including the 100th of his college career, during Wheaton's 23-2 victory over Clark University last Wednesday. After notching three points in the first half, Reavey netted a pair of goals in each of the final two quarters, collecting his 100th point with 9:46 remaining in regulation on his sixth marker.

With career highs of 26 goals and 33 points, Reavey leads the squad in tallies and stands tied for second in points. The midfielder is 10th in the Pilgrim League in goals.

Reavey has helped the Lyons to its first Pilgrim League Tournament berth since 1998 this spring, as the Blue and White carry an 8-5-1 overall mark into Wednesday's semifinal round at second-seeded Springfield College. Wheaton, the third seed in the tournament, went 6-2 in league play this season with its most Pilgrim wins since 1997.
