O'Brien earns NEWMAC Women's Runner-of-the-Week honorsOctober 12, 2004 NORTON, MA- Wheaton College women's cross country standout Erin O'Brien (North Easton, MA/Oliver Ames) earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Runner-of-the-Week honors for the week ending on Sunday, October 10. O'Brien, a two-time member of the NEWMAC All-Conference team and 2001 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, was Wheaton's top finisher at last weekend's All-New England Championship, leading the Lyons to a 22nd-place team standing at Boston's Franklin Park. Finishing 53rd overall among 302 competitors, O'Brien covered the 5,000-meter course in 19:04. The Lyons next meet will take place in Cumberland, Maine, as the Blue and White get set to compete at the Twin Brook Invitational II on Saturday, October 16. This page is maintained by Scott Dietz.
