October 31st marked the launch of the Art Department’s first Mobile Small Works Gallery, affectionately monikered NOMAD 1. The gallery is something like a cross between a sculpture pedestal and a hotdog cart and will serve as a traveling venue for making visible the exciting work of visual artists across campus!
Kelly Goff earned his Master of Fine Arts with Honors in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Raised on the Caribbean island of Curaçao in the former Netherlands Antilles, he studied art and the natural sciences as an undergraduate at New College of Florida.
November 5, 2013 Boston-based artist Andi Sutton, whose interactive installation is on view in the Beard and Weil Galleries through December 13, will present a slide lecture about her multidisciplinary work. Sutton is an artist whose practice explores the ways that performance art methodology can create new models for community development and social engagement. Working in a solo and collective context, her projects incorporate food, agriculture, television and street intervention, video, performance, and installation. Ellison Lecture, Watson Fine Arts 6:30pm
