Bringing Sexual Assault on College Campuses into the Open
Posted on April 27, 2014
For the past thirty years the Violence against Women class has been learning how violence impacts women in our society. In 2014, the presented workshops for pre-health students and for students interested in sexual assault policy review, opened forums for young men on campus to talk through the issues of sexual assault, and engaged in a social media campaign to encourage our community into thinking about healthy relationships. As colleges around the nation struggle to work through the challenge that sexual assault poses to learning communities, at Wheaton College our students work in the open to bring knowledge gained in the classroom to change their community.
