Scott St. Onge '99
Scott St. Onge ’99, Co-Chair, Wheaton Fund; Member, Wheaton College Alumnae/i Association Board of Directors.
Scott works as the Director of Political Outreach for Washington Capital Management in Washington DC. Focusing on developing and sustaining relationships within the political sphere, the boutique firm specializes in political strategy and public affairs. Scott is able to draw on his past fundraising experience from stints at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) to harness the will and understanding of his clients in an effort to advance a wide range of issues; including efforts to improve public education, equality and environmental consciousness. He is currently serving as Vice Chair of the Wheaton Rugby Alumni Union, a group he helped to develop and lead through their initial successful capital campaign to endow the program at Wheaton. The roots of Scott’s service to Wheaton are steeped in the opportunity and lifetime learning he continues to receive. The apparent examples of Wheaton lessons translating to real world experience stir the sense of desire to give back and perpetuate those lessons for the students of today and tomorrow. In his role as Wheaton Fund Co-Chair Scott will be working with the Alumnae/ii Relations staff and volunteers to develop and clarify an understandable narrative so others will recognize the importance of Wheaton and the Wheaton Fund. Thinking outside the box is a reality for Scott and increasing overall participation will be paramount to his role. Wheaton provided Scott with the foundation he needed to go beyond and he is determined to give back and help Wheaton go beyond.
