Kerin Stackpole '84

Kerin Stackpole '84, Alumnae/i Trustee

Kerin E. Stackpole is a partner in the law firm of Bergeron, Paradis & Fitzpatrick, LLP in Burlington, Vermont.   She practices labor and employment law and engages in general civil litigation.  Kerin divides her time between the courtroom and the classroom, having taught at the University of Vermont, Champlain College, The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America, and The Washington College of Law at The American University in DC.  Kerin regularly presents to management and human resources groups on employment and labor law issues and best practices, and she has been recognized by her peers through Chambers USA and Best Lawyers of America. 

Kerin has served her community as a Board member for numerous non-profits in her native Burlington, including Wake Robin Corporation and the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties.   Her great love of Wheaton has led her to serve as a volunteer in a variety of capacities, including Class President, Class Fund Agent, National Reunion Chair, Vice President, and President of the Alumnae/i Association.  As an Alumna Trustee, Kerin serves on both the Trustee Board and the Alumnae/i Board of Directors.  She is a member of the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees.

Kerin credits Wheaton with a phenomenal educational background for the law, and with amazing friendships that she has enjoyed for over 30 years.  Kerin lives in Shelburne, Vermont with her wife, Maria McGrath, and their daughter, Clare (Wheaton Class of 2028!).
