Austin Simko '09, Student Alumnae/i Activities Chair
Austin Simko graduated from Wheaton in 2009. He is delighted to begin his term on the Alumnae/i Association Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large for young alumnae/i. He is currently a first-year student at Suffolk Law School. Before beginning law school, Austin worked in the nonprofit sector on issues of sustainable development.
In his new position on the Board, Austin is focused on collaborating with on-campus offices and student groups to both foster connections between students and alumnae/i and to help build a culture on campus that recognizes the importance of alumnae/i support for the College.
Austin devotes his time to the Alumnae/i Board because he believes that the Wheaton community transcends the boundaries of the Norton campus and extends past the four years of matriculation. Wheaton is a special institution and community that expands opportunity for its members and transforms lives for the better. As such, it deserves service from those who have benefited from it. Beyond that, connection to the College involves a great deal of personal satisfaction and fun.
Austin currently resides in Allston, Massachusetts.
