Gift Chair Checklist and Timeline

Checklist

  • Make your own gift
  • Recruit your volunteers for the year
  • Attend ALC/Homecoming Weekend October 19-20, 2007
  • Participate in volunteer calling fall and spring semesters
  • Send your completed pledge forms along with a thank you to your classmates to Wheaton College
  • Help your class officer teams with the fall newsletter
  • Review your class fundraising reports supplied by your staff liaison.

Timeline

August/SeptemberYou will be contacted by your staff liaison team
SeptemberFundraising appeal is mailed by the Annual Giving office to build the case for support
Recruit class callers, if needed (Students will call Non-Reunion Classes)
October 19-20Attend ALC/Homecoming Weekend
October-NovemberClass newsletters are mailed including your Annual Fund message
Volunteer Fall Semester calling if required.
NovemberTax year end appeal is mailed to alumnae/i from the Annual Giving office
DecemberE-mail from gift chairs to December givers
FebruaryContact class callers and secure additional callers for spring calling
MarchClass spring appeal to Lybunts
Volunteer Spring Semester calling
MayFinal fundraising appeal. Call or e-mail all classmates who have not made a gift to encourage participation
Call or e-mail those with unpaid pledges before the June 30th fiscal year end
JuneThank you calls/e-mails
