Sandwiched in-between the January 20, 2004 inauguration in DC and two feet of snow in Boston, Tommye-K. Mayer, author of "One-Handed in a Two-Handed World," spoke at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC, addressing soldiers with arm or hand war wounds from Iraq or Afghanistan. |
Deirdre Kelly Allison Kezer Lobdell, Diane Nordin, Edie Dillon Thompson, and Patty Flowers gathered late Fall 2004 for their semi-annual (best scheduled spontaneously) lunch in Boston. |

Robin Allen Kennedy sent this adorable picture of her daughter MaryGrace (one word) for whom Reunion25 will either fall just before or just after her second birthday. I'm hoping Robin will send in a photo of MaryGrace accompanied by parents Robin and Bill. |
Mary Rendall (Smith)Townsend sent this picture of her blended family including: Mary, her five children, her husband Philip Townsend, and his five. Ordered by age, the children are: James Smith-21, Sam & Pat Townsend(twins)-15, Robert Townsend-13, Michael Smith-12, Stewart Smith-11,
Miriam & Abigail Smith (twins)-8, Carl Townsend-7, & Laura Kathryn
Townsend-5.
Sam, Michael, Stewart, Miriam, Abigail, Carl and Laura Kathryn all live
with us in Birmingham. James is at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA,
and Pat and Robert live with their mother in Dothan, AL.
Mary says she'll "work on reunion, but it's exam week in Birmingham & that's a lot of exams." Scribe is hoping Miriam, Abigail, Carl, and Laura Kathryn don't have exams yet and that maybe Sam, Michael, and Stewart will be so ready for exams Mary can escape for a once-in-a-lifetime Reunion25 weekend on campus! |

Ask & just look what you get! Robin Allen Kennedy sent this photo of she, husband Bill, and daughter MaryGrace which she says was taken Valentines Day. What a lovely fireplace, Robin, the perfect frame for a handsome family. |

Last March, Sheri Orcutt Zimmerman and Scott Zimmerman celebrated their daughter Corinne's 3rd birthday with Corinne in traditional Korean dress as is a custom from her birth country. Big Brother Andy, age 7, also attended. He remembers our 20th reunion even though he was only 3 at the time! We're all looking forward to coming to reunion and joining our classmates in celebration. |
Susie Cohen Titus, husband David, son William (who'll be 3 years old on March 31st. The Titus family claims David was a towhead once too), and Molly, the dog, put that first (before Christmas) snowfall to good use. I don't know about you all, but my snowmen never looked that picture perfect, but then, Suse always was an artist--and a biologist. Note the flower seed head eyes instead of coal [who knows what coal snowman eyes would do to the groundwater!), hemlock hair, and a flowerpot hat! |

Two days after Christmas, after a three year courtship, Cindy Gard married Brian O'Neil forming yet another class of '80 blended family (Cindy's stepdaughter Sharon--a Haverford College sophomore, her son Alex--an Ohio State University freshman, her stepson Dan--a Williams School, New London CT junior; and daughter Kate--a Stoneleigh-Burnham School, Greenfield MA sophomore; and the not pictured 8-year-old Labrador retriever, Jack) began. We'll just figure out which face in the picture belongs to whom. After all, we're smart Wheaton women! (Scribe assumes the woman in white is Cindy ^oo^ [you look beautiful!] and the man, Brian. Scribe was sad to read Cindy & Brian have scheduled a vacation elsewhere during Reunion25 weekend. Larcom freshman year wouldn't have been Larcom without Cindy!) |
25 years later and still hitting the books! Last year Linda Nesbit Cortright launched the aptly named Wild Fibers national magazine of the luxury fiber industry. Since then, she's been traveling 'round the globe (well, almost around) in search of unusual fiber industry stories--to places like Johnstons Cashmere in Scotland, the oldest vertical cashmere mill in the world. [Scribe's wondering about "vertical mills," aren't you? Come to reunion & find out! Linda rearranged her travel schedule o fit in Reunion25!] For more wild stories about cashmere and even wilder fibers, check out www.wildfibersmagazine.com.
Oh and in case you were wondering, Scribe has learned, the man in this photo, to whom Linda is paying rapt attention, he's the managing director of Johnstons Cashmere, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the business reporter's Go-To source for anything cashmere. |
