Russian and Russian Studies

National Flagship Language Program Fellowship

The program is open to citizens of the United States who have gained some knowledge of the Russian language; individuals already working for the government are not eligible to apply for this fellowship. Funds are provided to enable those who have already obtained a Bachelors Degree to participate in the two-year National Flagship Language Program. Tuition fees, health insurance, and travel expenses are covered, and a stipend is paid for living expenses.

The first year of the program will be spent in the U.S.; during the second year, participants will live overseas in an immersion situation. On completion of the program, recipients are required to provide service to the government for a minimum of two years, employed by one of the following government departments: State, Homeland Security, or Defense. Optional employment is somewhere in the Intelligence Community.

Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships

Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships offered by the Rotary Foundation to promote friendly relations between peoples of different nations. Scholarships are offered for study in any country where there is a Rotary Club, which presently exist in over 100 countries. Interested students should contact their local Rotary Club at home for more information.
