What did you do in the fall before arriving at Wheaton?
As a January student, I elected to spend the fall semester in London through NYU's freshmen program. I had the opportunity to study a variety of subjects, not to mention, live in an intellectually rich and sophisticated environment. Whether it was the diversity or historical tradition of the city, my semester in London offered me a complete learning experience both culturally and academically. I especially enjoyed living and studying with other Wheaton freshmen, which made it easy to meet fellow classmates and earn transferable credits prior to arriving in Norton. Overall, the NYU in London program was like nothing I had done before and it served a vital role in preparing me for Wheaton.
How was the transition as a January student?
I found the transition to Wheaton in January to be quite simple. Having already met a number of students through the London program and orientation events, the transition to the Wheaton community was much easier than I expected. The intimate campus and community provided a welcoming environment for January students, allowing for a seamless transition both socially and academically.
Will you graduate with your class?
I will be graduating on time with my class. Because of the credits I earned while studying in the NYU in London program, I am currently on track to graduate with my classmates in the spring of 2010 without taking additional courses.
Favorite Wheaton experience
Though I do not have one specific favorite moment in mind, I admire the qualities and beliefs that Wheaton College endorses as a liberal arts institution. As an entrepreneur, I originally felt I would be at a disadvantage for not attending business school, however, I quickly learned that Wheaton College provides a setting for someone in my position to excel in the business world. Whether it is the full support of the faculty and staff in pursuing your skills and passions or the unique, think-out-of-the box mentality, Wheaton College promotes a well balanced liberal arts education.
