Electrical Shop
There are currently 3 full time employees in the electrical shop. There is a Master Electrician, a Third Year Apprentice and a Second Year Apprentice on staff.
The Electrical Shop is responsible for maintaining all electrical systems, which includes the electrical distribution to all buildings, exterior lighting and interior building systems. They also administer the Fire Alarm testing, which is done semi-annually in all buildings, and do all the necessary repairs as a result of the testing.
As well as completing daily work orders from the Faculty, Staff and Students the Electrical Shop is also responsible for coordinating the audio and electrical setups for daily events. If the need arises, the electricians also provide coverage for all major events.
Finally, if an emergency arises the electricians will respond as they are on 24-hour emergency call.
