The Physical Plant Department, lead by Director Bob Campbell, is comprised of nine sub-departments, employing eighty-nine (89) individuals. The nine sub-departments are: Grounds, Building Services, Carpenter's Shop, Electrical Shop, HVAC Shop, Locksmith, Paint Shop, Plumbing Shop and the Power Plant. In addition, the operations of the campus waste-water treatment facility, while operated by Woodard and Curran, are overseen by the Power Plant Senior Foreman, Dave Nadeau. The overall operations of the department are greatly supported through the efforts of Kathy Cotter, Jayne Tobin, and Mary Pavao.
Together, we're responsible for providing and maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable living and working environment for the students, faculty and staff of Wheaton College. We also provide support and guidance for the campus long and short-range capital improvement projects. Everything from daily housekeeping services and grounds work to oversight of construction, installation and updating of fire protection services to the creation of new living spaces, the Physical Plant Department plays an active role in making the Wheaton College experience a safe and successful one.
