About

I have been teaching at Wheaton for 39 years and still love my job!  I get to come to Wheaton and work with fresh, energetic, and enthusiastic students.  I am a fine art photographer with an extensive background in commercial photography.  I am an active participant in the Cape Cod art scene as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Art Association, and memberships at the Falmouth Art Center and the Cotuit Center for the Arts.   My recent work includes large images of the American Southwest, specifically Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. I also developed and implemented the Arts In Ireland program where I take fifteen students to the west coast of Ireland for twenty-one days for an intensive art making experience.

Main Interests

I am interested in the timelessness of the landscape: investigating the idea of time as measured by humans vs. the nature of time and how it effects change in the natural world.

Teaching Interests

Photography: Beginning, Intermediate, Digital, Advanced Independents; First-Year Seminar and Senior Seminar on a rotating basis.  I also lead the Arts in Ireland program.  The A in I program is a 21 day intensive art making experience on the west coast of Ireland.
