Celebrating Dennis M. Hanno, Welcoming Michaele Whelan
President Dennis M. Hanno leaves a legacy of contributions that have shaped and elevated Wheaton’s mission and helped it successfully navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most challenging times in the college’s history. Michaele Whelan, who was named Wheaton’s ninth president in September 2021 following an intensive eight-month national search, is getting to know Wheaton and the members of its worldwide community, and looking forward to collaborating on and leading the next chapter in Wheaton history.
