Storage
Limited summer storage of student property is offered to those living more than 500 miles from Norton. Stored items must be packed in trunks or crates (no plastic bags or cardboard boxes) and locked securely. Information about storage is available from Student Life at x8214. The College assumes no responsibility for the safety of items left in storage. Students who need to store valuable items such as computers and stereos are encouraged to utilize one of the professional storage companies in the area. These companies will visit the campus at the end of the academic year to provide this information and service to students.
The College has limited space available for students whose homes are more than five hundred miles from the College to store a limited quantity of their personal belongings during each summer (and for those students studying abroad). Students must apply and be approved by the Office of Student Life to take advantage of this program. The College is not responsible for the loss or damage of belongings stored in the College’s facilities. Students participate in this program at their own risk.
Wheaton College assumes no liability for students’ belongings either in the packing process or while in storage.
Private storage companies provide students with additional opportunities to store personal belongings during the summer. These companies, for a nominal fee, offer a variety of services for students in need of storage. They are available to students at the beginning and end of each semester.
