Season of Service

Season of Service Fall 2008

When is a college campus more than a college campus?

It is when it is connected to the diverse neighborhoods surrounding it through a dynamic network of mutually-beneficial partnerships.

Wheaton's Season of Service provides first-year students with an opportunity to learn more about their neighbors in the Greater Norton Metropolitan Area by participating in one of the College's many local community partnerships during their first six weeks on campus.

Each First Year Seminar student joins returning students, faculty and staff in a half-day service project benefiting area children or seniors, addressing hunger issues, or improving the environment.

Entering students, look for the Season of Service table at Orientation check-in to receive all the details of your particular Season of Service assignment.

Returning students, Faculty and Staff: If you would like to be involved, please contact one of the Coordinators. We cannot do this without great team leaders!

Meet the Coordinators!
