Wheaton welcomes Class of 2012
First-year and transfer students are arriving on campus this weekend. Members of the Class of 2012 hail from 30 states and 32 countries, and their talents are broad and diverse. The top five states of origin are Massachusetts, New York, California, Maine and Connecticut. Learn more about Wheaton's newest students here.
Homecoming weekend: Save the date!
Fall's palette paints a backdrop for Homecoming Weekend, October 17-19, 2008. All Wheaton families and alumnae/i are welcome to join us. Watch for your invitation in the mail in September. (Read more.)
Science center to take root
Construction is slated to begin in March 2009 on the Center for Scientific Inquiry and Innovation (CSII), the college's future science center. You can keep abreast of the construction project, see floor plans and read about the building's innovative features on the CSII website.
The art of teaching
Wheaton has been awarded a $700,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for a program to help shape the next generation of college professors. Post-doctoral fellows from large universities will teach classes at Wheaton under the guidance of the college's professors, who are committed to the art of teaching undergraduates. (Read more.)
