Public Computing Workstations

The Library provides approximately 63 public computers throughout the Library. In the Atrium 15 Dell and 7 Macintosh computers equipped with Microsoft Office applications and Internet access are available during regular library hours. Additional computers are available in the Library's two electronic classrooms and four collaboration rooms. Several individual workstations are located on each level of the Library.

Electronic Classrooms

The Mabel Tingley Woolley Class of 1925 Electronic Classroom (referred to as "WEC"), located on the Main Level, is equipped with 13 Dell computers installed with Microsoft Office applications and Internet access. Network connections for 20 laptop computers are available at a center seminar table. The Electronic Classroom is available as a general computer lab when not in use as a Library teaching space.

The Stacks Level Electronic Classroom (referred to as "SLEC"), is located on your left as you enter the Stacks. This classroom is equipped with 13 Dell computers installed with Microsoft Office applications and Internet access. This room is available as a general computer lab when not in use for instruction.

Technology-Equipped Collaboration Rooms

Three technology-equipped Collaboration Rooms are available in the Stacks Level. These rooms are ideal for 2-5 users who need to collaborate on assignments and presentations using the installed computers with 30"-32" monitors. A laptop can also be connected to the monitor.

A fourth technology-equipped Collaboration Room is located on the Periodicals Level. This room is for groups of 5 or more who need to collaborate on presentations using the installed computer with the LG flat screen TV or a laptop. This room has DVD, VCR, and Media Player capabilities and may be used for group viewing of academic reserve films.

These rooms may be reserved at the Circulation Desk near the front door of the Library. Visit the Public Service Assistant (PSA) working at the Information Desk or in the Stacks to check on availability and to obtain access to these rooms.
