Resources for Students

Kollett Hall Hours

Kollett Hall, located adjacent to the Science Center, is now the only 24-hour study space on campus! While tutoring takes place between 4pm and 11pm, Sunday through Thursday, the Hall opens at 2pm on Sunday, and remains open through 4:30pm on Friday for students to use as they please. The comfortable couches, and easily-changed room set-up makes this space an ideal tutoring center but also a great meeting place for study groups or group projects!

Peer Tutoring Programs

Peer tutoring offers group learning and individual sessions with trained student tutors. Tutors work collaboratively with students at all levels of achievement to improve general learning skills and to provide support in specific courses. Appointments are not necessary; students may simply go Kollett Hall to work with tutors during schedule hours.

Through its affiliations with the Writing at Wheaton program and the Quantitative Analysis Program, Kollett Hall also coordinates peer and professional support in writing across the curriculum and in calculus and statistics. More information about these resources, including schedules and locations for the professional learning associates in each area, is provided through the links indicated here and in the left menu.

Technology Workshops and Programs

Teaching and learning at Wheaton increasingly utilize information technology in a variety of ways. Most of these applications (from Microsoft Word to SPSS and Minitab) require that students know how to use the software tools that make them work.

The students and staff of Library and Information Services offer tutoring on the use of these tools. For more information and the current semester's schedule go to the

or contact a Student Software Tutors, Monica Black at black_monica@wheatonma.edu, Jessie Kai at kai_jessie@wheatonma.edu or the staff member Jenni Lund, at jlund@wheatonma.edu
