Distance Learning Courses for Alumnae/i

Wheaton began a new millennium with lifetime e-mail accounts, distance learning courses and many other online services that connect alumnae/i to the college and to each other through the Internet and information technology.

ONLYON@WHEATONCOLLEGE.EDU launched in January, 2000, with Wheaton’s first offering of online courses for alumnae/i (links to course lists and descriptions below). These distance learning courses, life enrichment in the sciences, arts and humanities, are connected to regular offerings of the Wheaton faculty, run concurrent to their on-campus classes.

Lifetime Wheaton e-mail addresses, special alumnae/i class and club chatrooms, a secure online alumnae/i directory, online Scholarshop catalog sales, and a host of other exciting features are available at ONLYON@WHEATONCOLLEGE.EDU.

Goals of the Distance Learning Program:

  1. To provide a service for alumnae/i who wish to connect or re-connect with Wheaton by enriching their knowledge in areas of current interest.
  2. To execute the first distance learning courses offered by Wheaton College.
  3. To enrich the experience of resident students by including diverse points of view provided by alumnae/i from different age, ethnic and geographical perspectives.
