KACC Policies

Use of the Computing Center: KACC is open to Wheaton students, faculty and staff.

  • Visitors, children and spouses of students, faculty and staff may use the computing center. They must be accompanied by the student, faculty or staff member. They are asked to identify themselves and sign in with the attendant at the main desk.
  • Alumnae/i may use the facility except at those peak times when current students need to use all computers . If there is a need for extended use of a computer, alumnae are asked to consult with the Director who will attempt to make appropriate arrangements to reasonable requests.
  • Teachers and administrators from area schools who host Wheaton students in their teaching practicum may also make arrangements with the Director to use the center.
  • Students, faculty and staff use will take priority over family members, alumnae and guests.

Academic Work has Priority

  • Students needing computers for academic work have priority over students using e-mail, news, playing games or browsing the Internet for non-academic purposes. Please restrict your use of these programs during busy times.
  • If there is a waiting list, students using computers for those purposes will be asked to make the computer available for other students wishing to use the computer for academic work.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
