TECH REPORT ON "MENTORING HYUN KIM"

Status

I met with Hyun Kim and mentored her on her project to develop visual archives for several of her courses. I taught her how to use Adobe PhotoShop to scan photographs and how to organize the images into files for research and teaching purposes. I also demonstrated the utility of the FileMaker Pro software program for creating visual databases. I will continue to assist her as she develops these files and uses them for classroom presentations. She has reported to me that she found this instruction useful and has already been able to find valuable applications in several of her courses last semester.
