First Year Seminar Visits
Invite a Filene Center staff member to visit your First Year Seminar during fall semester. Staff members can give first year students an introduction to the Filene Center and its services, and help students begin to explore out of class learning options. First Year Seminar faculty are welcome to talk with Filene Center staff about specific goals that they may have for their seminar.
Senior Seminar Visits
Invite a Filene Center staff member to visit your Senior Seminar, preferably before spring break. Staff members typically speak about resumes, networking, and transition from Wheaton, and are happy to learn about any specific goals you have for their visit. To arrange a visit contact Pamela McIntyre at ext. 5674 a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of your desired date to have a Filene Center member attend your class.
Departmental Visits
Filene Center staff are also available to discuss how departments can utilize the Center to help students with career exploration topics. Departments can partner with the Filene Center to create discipline specific guides on the types of post-graduate paths students can embark upon within a major and plan how students can connect and integrate experiential learning with the discipline.

To share departmental interest in collaborating on a Major Connections event, contact Elizabeth Hallowell at ext. 3797. The scheduled is created a year in advance.
Alumnae/i Speaker Travel Reimbursement
If your department organizes a visit by an alumna/alumnus, to speak with students, there is some funding available this year, up to $100.00 for travel expenses accompanied by original receipts. For more information contact Elizabeth Hallowell at ext. 3797.
