Infectious Diseases and Population: Epidemiology

Epidemiology is the study of the spread of diseases in populations. The government agency which is responsible for tracking the spread of infectious disease in the U.S. is the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC provides many services including advice for travelers and a weekly publication describing recent outbreaks, epidemics and treatments.
