optional 10 point extra credit question.
The final will be closed book, prescheduled. You may have up to
three hours to complete it ( but it is designed to be a 1-11/2
hr. test).
The exam will consist of short essays, definitions, explanations. You will be asked to either design or interpret an experiment or study ( epidemiologic or laboratory) (prospective or retrospective). You may be asked to provide your opinion about a nutritional theory or practice. In many cases, there will not be a right or wrong answer. I will be looking for a well-written response that may need substantiation with factual information.
There will be no specific questions asked about material covered prior to the second exam but information about nutrients, digestion and metabolism may be required in a more general way to substantiate answers to questions on the final.
