General Education Minor

Our non-licensure program is the General Minor in Education, which requires you to take five courses, at least three of which must be Education courses. The others must be related to the fields of education but may be offered in other departments. The General Minor is for students interested in the field, and in careers related to Education, but who are not preparing to student-teach or to be Massachusetts licensed. Education 371, 381, 385, 390, and 391 may NOT be taken for the General Education Minor.

MA Department of Education regulations for Teacher Licensure change yearly as do education requirements and forms. It is therefore critical that students contact the appropriate Wheaton Education Department faculty advisor to obtain the most up-to-date information and education minor requirements documentation.
