We bring Wheaton to the world... and the world to Wheaton!

Happy International Education Week!

IEW Logo 2International Education Week (IEW), was founded in 2000 as a shared initiative between the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education in response to the UN Millennium Development Goals. Held each year during the third week of November, IEW aims to increase international understanding through educational exchange and attract future leaders from around the globe to study and learn abroad. Today, the initiative is celebrated in communities and educational institutions throughout the U.S. and in more than 100 countries worldwide!
Please join the efforts of the Center for Global Education and every office on our campus that encourages international learning in celebrating this

Wheaton is a global campus!

Study Abroad mapThe Center for Global Education (CGE) serves as a hub of resources for students, faculty and staff who wish to engage with the world. With over 70 study abroad programs in some of the most unique locations around the world (for example, see Wheaton in Bhutan), Wheaton College offers opportunities for all majors and interests. For international students, the CGE is where “Wheaties from the World” can come for that additional bit of support as they adjust to their home away from home.

The CGE offers programming throughout the academic year, including Study Abroad information sessions, the Eye on the World photo contest and the Senior Sash reception.  In addition the Center provides support to students and faculty for programming with a global focus.

Whether you spend a semester abroad at one of our partner campuses, participate in a faculty-led program during the winter or summer break, interact with our vibrant international student population, or engage in intellectual discourse on global issues in the classroom, Wheaton students have countless opportunities to develop the skills necessary to take on the challenges of the international milieu we live in today.
